BIG BEAR CALIFORNIA:

Holcomb Valley - Located on the North Shore of Big Bear Lake

Van Dusen Road goes from California Highway 18 towards Holcomb Valley in Big Bear. It is also known as 3N09. To get there, take Hwy. 18 or Hwy. 38 to Big Bear Lake.  Awsome riding the Pacific Crest Trail or in the Valley itself!!

GraysPeak - Also on the North Shore of the Lake

It is a relatively short ride with limited parking for rigs, but very well worth it.  Get there early for a good parking space. About a 3 hour total ride if you go to Grayspeak, but make it a four hour ride and go to Hanna Flats Campground. Just follow the signs!  Beautiful ride!  You do share the trails with mountain bikers and hikers.

CITY OF LAVERNE:

Marshall Canyon: Off of the 210, in the city of LaVerne.

Very nice day riding, especially in the winter, spring and fall. There are some water crossings after rain and snow, and lots of trees. There is a campground available for groups, but it does require an insurance policy. Call me if you would like more information!  Don't forget to watch for bears, they are not shy!! Mountain bikers and hikers share the trails with you here.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO:

Caspers Wilderness Park - Look them up online for their info and directions from where you are coming from.  Very nice campsite for equestrians, inexpensive with hot showers and nice trails. Best time to ride is winter, spring or fall as the Summer months can get hot and there are few trees! Mountain bikers and hikers share the trails with you here.

CHINO HILLS:

Chino Hills State Park - Located off of the Highway 71, there are clearly marked signs to get you there. Can camp, but not nice at all!! Great for a day ride in the winter, spring and fall. Spring is the best time or for an early or late afternoon ride in the Summer. You can park on the street by the entrance or drive all the way up to the staging/camping area. (street parking is the best and easiest) Mountain bikers and hikers share the trails with you here.

NORCO:

Hidden Valley Wildlife Area - Located along the Santa Ana River just east of Norco on, Arlington Avenue  one mile west of La Sierra Avenue. 1500 acres and access to 25 miles of hiking and equestrian trails and a great staging area. You don't see many hikers, mostly horses and it is a nice place to take your dog if well behaved off leash! The river crossings are great, but be sure to cross where others have, as there are pockets of quicksand.  Picnic tables with shade and water for your horses is a plus!

Ride the streets of Norco, stop off at one of our local restaurants for a cold drink or a bite to eat or even shop at one of our many tack stores. All can be done on horseback!

Will soon have  photo page with additional places to ride!

HAPPY TRAILS!!
